Now that Autumn is upon us and the weather is becoming more seasonal i have an urge to do some sewing, I haven't done much over the holidays as i have been busy out in the garden, mostly watering due to the lack of rain.
I thought i would start with something small to get me back into sewing again so i chose to make miniature baby dolls from a book of Japanese small crafts.
The book is called Omiyage - the Japanese word for GIFT - Its full of enchanting small crafts with an unmistakable Japanese style.
Its also a way of using up those small pieces of fabric that other wise would be thrown away.
I would like to thank everyone who takes the time to look at my blog and how grateful i am to all my lovely followers who comment on my posts.......xx
Hi Linda. I know what you mean about the watering, it's been so dry. I love those Japanese dolls, they're so pretty. Like you I'm feeling I should get my teeth into something. I've just started doing a bit of art journalling and hope to post something soon.

The book looks fun, something a bit different. The dolls are very sweet. I have been reseeding my lawn - so a lot of watering required there! Betty
ReplyDeleteOh these are really cute. Perhaps you can share how to make them next time we meet up? xxJ
ReplyDeleteIt is about time that we had a proper summer needing us to be out watering daily :) it really must be something about the seasons changing to the darker colder days as I too feel the urge to get one with something creative and indoors.
ReplyDeleteHow adorable! I must look for this book!
