Junk i found on in the ashes of my neighbours bonfire.

These burnt out pieces of metal were found after raking through my neighbours bonfire. I was really pleased with the effect when i diplayed them together. I also liked the bluey grey colour and the twisted shapes the intense fire created. My husband calls it my steptoe collection.

Advent Calender for my two grandaughters

I have been making this Advent Calender for my little grandaughters as a keepsake. I hope they will enjoy using it every christmas.  I have filled each pocket with a little gift for the girls each day.

I used all recycled materials to make the calender in which i have collected over the years.  Some of the fabric was my grandmothers which i had found in an old trunk.  I was particulary pleased with the ticking fabric which i used for the numbers, this was at least 50 years old.

The calender took me 2 weeks to complete, with the help from my daughters cat as you can see in one of the photos.

Restored Blanket Box

Just wanted to show all my lovely bloggers this chest i had restored.

Found this old wooden box down the bottom of the garden in an old shed.  It was full of woodworm and looked very sorry for itself.  I brought it back to life and now my daughter is enjoying it very much.  These are the photos of the final retoration, only problem i forgot to take photos before, only took them after!  As i said on a previous blog, just about getting the hang of it all.

Slate Message boards

This is a piece of slate tile made into a message board
