What a Week?

I've had a worrying time just lately
My VW car (only 4 years old ) was found with engine problems and is still in the garage after 2 weeks and still no joy.

The heating system packed up after a plumber/ heating engineer,  completely brought the whole system to a stand still leaving us with no hot water, heating or cooker hopefully it will all be sorted out soon, but at a cost as we have had to get another firm in to put his mistakes right. Thankfully the weather had been mild so far. And on top of that we had to get the bee man out as we had a wasps nest in the loft.

Just keeping my fingers crossed that nothing else happens.

To keep the frustration at bay i found keeping myself busy with the things i enjoy doing best a great help here are some of the activities i have been up to this week.

Here is a water colour of Mr Cockerel which i did on Friday . i feel that engaging in any form of art work is excellent therapy for me.

I was lucky to see this rainbow and took the image in my garden. Its the first time i have managed to capture one.

Getting ready for Halloween

Yesterday i was lucky enough to attend the annual U3A                get together where i made this lovely fairy.
You can see that her arms and legs were made with shirt buttons
Not sure about the face though

Ahh i am feeling much better now i have shared this post ,with you all  As they say
A problem shared is a problem halved .....XX

Little Things Mean a Lot.....xx

I just love making things for my two small granddaughters.
They are 6 and 4 years old and the most precious thing in my life.

They live in London so i don't get see them as much as i would like to. Its not the distance, but that dreaded M25 which i hate with a
passion.
So when i do get to see them i like to spoil them as grandparents like to do !!!!!

As they are very girlie i thought they would like these little bags.

The pattern is out of Omiyage a Japanese handmade gift book.

The fabric i bought from my local boot sale and just right for their age group.
With sound advise from my daughter i am going to fill them with bling, she said its the sort of thing little girls like.

I'm sure she is right after all she was a little girl once...........
