Hankie Doll

After a successful attempt of making an Angel for my daughters Christmas tree. (See my December blog)   I decided to have ago at making another doll, this time for my niece on her birthday.

This close up shows how I made the face. I used small beads for her eyes, red cotton for her mouth and rouge for her cheek bones. Her hair was made from some rug wool and machined together. Looks like she's had a bad hair day.

I am very pleased with my doll and hope my niece will tresure it. I dressed her in a vintage hankie and added the net, ribbons and buttons to give her a more prettier touch.

This photo was taken surrounded by old vintage hankies which I hope to make more dolls with.
