Messing around with the macro

Today i thought i would get my macro lens out and have a go at taking some photos close up.

I chose these crocheted small circles which magnify their texture and colour.

 Its surprising just how great buttons look when magnified 

 No crochet tonight as Florence is using it for a sleeping blanket

 Just look at my two girls ! I just love them to bits

My visit to London to see the poppies

Last Saturday my daughter and i went to the Tower of London to see the poppies and we were not disappointed. It was very moving to think each one represented a soldier which was killed in the war fighting for their queen and country. 
We both ordered one of the china poppies which we hope to get sometime next year.

While we were there we also took in a few of the sights.
